Security Services

Information Security Architecture

The fundamental goal of Information Security Architecture Design is to provide security mechanisms and controls for the protection of information assets. This service will help clients manage risks and prevent potential business damage that may result from a failure or absence of security.

Implementing an effective security solution does not end with the installation of a security device or application, but continues with the organization with effective security management. Effective security management starts with developing the organizations Security policy, from which, the appropriate components are put in place to enforce that policy.

Our consultants will evaluate and discuss available alternatives with regard to a wide range of security products that are on the market that may serve your organization.

Typical products discussed are:

  • Encryption
  • Authentication
  • Access Controls
  • One-Time Password Tokens
  • Firewalls
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Single Sign-On
  • SPAM control
  • Virus protection

Information Security Assessment

An Information Security Assessment will provide a general overview of the client computing and network environment and the current client security posture. It will discuss threats to client security and the risks that those threats pose as well as detailed observations regarding specific security issues brought to light during the survey.

An Information Security Assessment will typically include:

  • Site inspection
  • Interviews with client staff
  • Analyze connectivity and access controls
  • Review architecture and configuration documentation
  • Study security policies, choices and goals in the context of business objectives

The focus of the Security Assessment may cover several areas of the:

  • Perimeter network and external connections
  • Electronic commerce gateways
  • Inter and intra-company LAN-WAN connectivity
  • Overall corporate security architecture
  • The entire computing installation at a given site or location

Following the assessment, a clear baseline of the networking environment and current security posture will have been established and will include the following:

  • Identification of vulnerabilities
  • Recommend corrections, solutions and implementation priorities
  • Discuss trade-offs among cost, ease of use and implementation plans
  • Discuss the concepts around acceptable levels of risk

Managed Services

Managed Security Services

Focus on your core business, leave security to the experts

Proxy Technology Partners Managed Security Services deliver cost-effective, outsourced security that minimizes an organization's investments in technology and internal resources while effectively solving problems and allowing companies to focus on their core business issues.

Firewall Management

Full firewall management services include rule change management, plus policy enforcement to ensure that firewall rule change requests conform to the organizations approved security policy. Each time a firewall rule change is made, the organizations security posture is at risk. A firewall needs to be installed and maintained by a certified seasoned professional who understands the ramifications of a careless rule base design. In firewall management, the keys to the kingdom are only a click away, so don’t trust them with just anyone

Perimeter Penetration Testing

Periodic unscheduled perimeter penetration testing services test the security products and policies installed bringing a higher level of comfort to management.

Regardless of the security equipment and controls put in place, without properly testing whether access is controlled and or restricted, you don’t really know if you are secure or not. Security equipment and configurations are always being upgraded, altered, and patched, so it’s important that these security changes are tested to ensure the same level protection is met.

Managed SPAM Filtering Controls

SPAM is a growing problem that has begun to reach epidemic proportions, costing companies millions to manage. Each SPAM message received by an organization costs bandwidth, disk space, processing cycles, administrator time and end user actions.

SPAM control has reached new levels of scientific modeling, where the analysis and control far exceeds the before simple key word and source email address restriction lists. Now, SPAM messages are individually analyzed and scored to determine the likelihood that the message is legitimate mail or SPAM. Each message is scored at a High, Medium and Low level, depending on the character, message content, layout and design of the message. These levels are pre-configured to your specifications and filtered and/or quarantined based upon your company’s security posture.

In addition to analyzing each individual message that enters your network, we also reverse engineer the practices of common SPAMmers, by adjusting the “return to sender” parameters within the SMTP protocol. SPAMmers send out millions of messages daily. They know that a large number of these messages will not reach the recipient, due to incorrect addresses, downed servers, etc. Therefore, instead of receiving an enormous amount of “returned mail”, their systems are configured to drop these returned messages. Our services take advantage of this knowledge and in turn will reject the original message, sending it back to the originating host, and if it’s legitimate mail, the server will resend the message again. This time, when the message is received, it will be passed to the internal mail system. When the original message is received, it is tagged and registered in an internal database, so subsequent messages are not returned, but immediately received.

By implementing these two forms of SPAM control, we have nearly eliminated the costly and burdensome effects of unsolicited SPAM messages.

Managed Infrastructure Services

With the number of Infrastructure components, systems and applications changing in the market today, it has become difficult for organizations to attract and retain qualified engineers to manage them.

From installations, patch management, configuration changes, and design recommendations, we bring real-world hands-on engineers to the table that are market proven and certified to manage your infrastructure as if you had your own staff. We will custom tailor a solution that will best fit your organization, so service is provided when needed, anytime, anywhere.

Wireless

Wireless site surveys
To effectively implement a wireless solution, a proper wireless site survey needs to be performed. Developing your wireless blueprint is a critical element in preparing a successful wireless installation the first time. By properly analyzing your environment in determining access point locations for proper coverage areas, and allocating the appropriate frequencies through our spectrum analysis services, we ensure that your wireless coverage area is appropriately documented and planned for a successful installation. Poor planning will lead to costly redesigns and unbudgeted missed equipment.

Wireless networking solutions
From installation to implementation, we provide industry proven equipment and services that cover the spectrum of your wireless needs.

Wireless networking security
With the increasing need and desire to deploy wireless solutions in your network, how do you maintain the kind of security you demand? With the number of access points and nodes increasing daily, it can become easy to lose control of your network access. To prevent unauthorized users from accessing your wireless network, you need to implement secured access controls and encryption through industry leading software and hardware solutions. By limiting access controls, bandwidth throttling, and more, you can control your wireless network as tightly as your wired one. We can assess your WLAN needs and recommend the appropriate hardware and/or software solution that will best fit your organization’s needs.

RFID

Proxy Technology Partners focuses on helping our clients understand RFID and aligning their business processes to efficiently deploy the technology. THis service includes the technology justification in the context of a business case for RFID. We will then partner with our clients in achieving the desired RFID results.
